first_imgHealth Minister Chris d’Entremont welcomed news today, May 4, that members of the Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU), Local 22, have a new three-year agreement. The news came after four days of a binding mediation process that ended late Thursday. The NSGEU announced results of the binding mediation today at a meeting with its members. In a statement, Health Minister Chris d’Entremont said he appreciated the efforts of the mediator Milton Veniot. “I realize the hard work all of the parties put into this process and thank them. The government accepts the final outcome,” said Mr. d’Entremont in a statement “There are tremendous employees at the IWK and at all our health care facilities in the province.” The agreement is effective from Nov. 1, 2006 to Oct. 31, 2009.last_img
