It will be interesting to see if India’s World Cup probables, including captain Virat Kohli, are available for the whole of the 12th season.Notably, captain Virat Kohli had reportedly told the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) top brass that the India pacers, who are expected to be on the flight to England for the World Cup, should be rested during the IPL. While a few franchises have opposed the idea, others have opined the pacers be rested for either the first half or the second half of the IPL.advertisementVirat Kohli himself has been on managing his workload well in the lead up to the biggest tournament of the year. The India captain has been rested for the last three ODI of the recently-concluded five-match series in New Zealand. He will also miss the three-match T20I series against the Black Caps, starting February 6 in Wellington. With several top teams, including England and Australia, putting restrictions on their players’ availability after the month of April, there is an opportunity for local talents to grab the limelight. RCB will be hoping their local players deliver for the team in the upcoming season.
