You can say that in a way Xiaomi started the trend of bezel-less phones with its Mix phones. This month the company will launch the Mi Mix 3. Xiaomi president Lin Bin confirmed the Mi Mix 3 and its design earlier. In August this year, Bin took to Chinese microblogging site Weibo and posted a picture of the Mi Mix 3. he also announced that the smartphone will be launched in October. The picture that he shared showed the complete front design of the device. The image also proved rumours right and hinted that the Mi Mix 3 would with a front camera that would pop-out using a sliding mechanism similar to the camera in the Oppo Find X.Other details of the phone, however, were not all that clear at that time. But now that the launch is near, more leaks and rumours have surfaced. So, what all we know about the Mi Mix 3 ahead of its launch, apart from the fact that it is coming this month.It is expected that the Mi Mix 3 is going to sport a significantly different design compared to the Mi Mix 2 and the Mi Mix 2S. It is expected to come with a bigger display, a bigger battery, and surely more powerful core hardware.It is also possible that the Mi Mix 3 will come to India, although there is no official word about this from Xiaomi right now. The Mi Mix 2 was launched in the country at a price of Rs 35,999, though nowadays the selling price is Rs 29,999. If the Mi Mix 3 comes to India expect it to cost around Rs 40,000. Rumours suggest that the starting price of the Mi Mix 3 in China could be around 3799 Yuan, which roughly translates to Rs 40,300. The screen-to-body-ratio of the Mi Mix 3 will also increase to offer a better multimedia experience to the users. Unlike the Mi Mix 2, the front camera of the Mi Mix 3 is going to be hidden in the slider, which is expected to pop out when the camera app is opened. Xiao AI will help users wake up the device in just a click. It will also let users ask questions by long pressing and holding the button. Based on its search, Xiaomi AI will answer to the asked question.Mi Mix 3 specificationsThe Mi Mix 3 has been subjected to several leaks and rumours and they have revealed some of the key specs about the phone.The Mi Mix 3 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor and rumours suggest that it will come in two RAM variants and one storage variant. The base variant of the Mi Mix 3 is tipped to come with 6GB RAM and 256GB of storage, while the top-end model of the phone is said to include 8GB RAM paired with 256GB of internal storage. The Mi Mix 3 is also tipped to come with IP68 rating and hence is expected to be water and dust resistant. It is likely to run the latest Android Oreo-based MIUI 10.
