To raise funds for Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department expansion project, the hospital will offer Giving Saves Lives blue jelly bands at retail outlets throughout the Santa Clarita Valley and on the hospital campus. Proceeds from the bands – selling for $1 or greater donation – will bring the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation closer to its $12 million goal for The Next Generation of Care Campaign. The campaign will fund a new Emergency Department and the construction of a Cardiac Catheterization Lab. To date, the hospital has raised more than $10 million toward the campaign. “We want to make it possible for every person in the Santa Clarita Valley be a part of the campaign for the Next Generation of Care and invest in their community hospital,” said Diana Vose, health foundation president. “By providing the bands in local retail outlets, we’re certain that our community will support the best in health care at Henry Mayo, and wear the bands to encourage others to give.” The health foundation has 5,000 Giving Saves Lives bands for the fundraising initiative and is ready to make additional bands available as needed. The hospital foundation hopes that community members will wear the bands with pride while investing in the hospital, which is committed to improving the health of the community through compassion and excellence in healthcare services. 160Want local news?Sign up for the Localist and stay informed Something went wrong.
