Last season McVeigh struggled to find the net for Harps, but he started regularly because of his manic work rate that caused defenders endless problems.Under Horgan this year McVeigh has had limited opportunities to impress, with Harps boasting Kevin McHugh, Ruairi Keating and Sean McCarron in the attack the Portsalon native found it hard to force his way into Horgan’s starting XI.McVeigh is currently training with Coleraine and is attempting to engineer a move into the Northern Ireland Premier Division.Canadian Graham Fisher has also departed the club after finding it difficult to force his way into the plans of Horgan. The former Schalke youth player only played a handful of games, he started in the FAI Cup third-round victory over Belgrove in June but hasn’t played since despite performing well that evening. He is expected to return home to Canada to seek a new club.James Doherty, Johnny Bonner, Mark Forker also exited Finn Park earlier this season while Ruairi Keating returned to Sligo after his loan move ended. The departures have left Horgan’s squad light on personnel, but he did announce the signing of former UCD player Mark Anthony McGinley. The former UCD keeper has Premier Division experience and will put pressure on current N0.1 Conor Winn. Harps face Wexford tomorrow night needing three points to keep any hopes of a promotion play-off place alive.MCVEIGH AND FISHER DEPART FROM FINN PARK was last modified: July 31st, 2014 by Mark ForkerShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Tags:Finn Harps FCGraham FishernewsPaul McVeighSportlast_img
