The southpaw has been in great form after returning to the Indian team in Sri Lanka earlier in the year. He hit a 190 in the first Test and continued his rich vein of form hitting a 119 in the third Test at Pallekele. Dhawan kicked on from there and smashed a 132* in the first ODI at Dambulla and followed it up with a score of 49 at Pallekele. In the next two matches, he was out cheaply for 4 and 5 before flying off home to be by his wife’s side, who underwent a surgery.advertisementDhawan missed the ODI series against Australia and returned for the T20 series but couldn’t replicate his form that he showed against the Lankans. But, he hit 68 against New Zealand in Pune to get some runs before falling cheaply again in the final ODI at Kanpur. However, he will look to kick-on and get some runs again when India take on the Black Caps in the three-match T20 series starting on November 1 at Delhi.
